This one-day workshop will help you to advance your career through evidence-based techniques for improved collaboration. You will understand the power of communication, build skills and take home practical knowledge for:

  • Connecting with others (e.g. elevator pitch)
  • Keeping up motivation and mental health by realizing the impact of emotions
  • Dealing with conflict in a scientific setting
  • Getting a first glimpse on the importance of intercultural communication

This interactive workshop has been designed by a highly experienced trainer to focus on improving soft skills for chemistry students and researchers who have completed their PhD within the last 5 years. Participants must be affiliated with a university or non-profit organization.

Two sessions are available:

  • Sunday June 29th, hrs. 09:30 – 17:00
  • Wednesday July 2nd, hrs. 11:00 – 18:30

You can register for this event when you register for ESOC 2025.

IMPORTANT! Due to the interactive nature of this workshop, the number of participants is limited to 20 per session. Due to the expected high demand, we thus kindly ask you to only register if you can attend the entire session.

As seats are limited, a waiting list will also be available. Registration for this event is on a first-come first-served basis. The Beilstein-Institut will notify participants of successful registration and further information about the event separate from the ESOC registration.
